The Brain Edit Program – A Journey into Improving Your Mental Health

“The Brain Edit“

Our own wellbeing, health and more specifically mental health has become so important and definite priority in the world we live in today. “The Brain Edit™“ program was created to give people guidance and methods to do just that – improve their own wellbeing. It is about awareness of self, your beliefs, habits and behaviours. Through simple techniques that are easy to follow, the program shares insights, so people can understand how their minds work and then teaches them how to take control back over their own mental health.

The second edition of “The Brain Edit” Retreat, recently ended and the feedback was so positive. It confirmed the need for guidance and training around self-care. Held in the beautiful hotel, Vermelho, masterfully created by Christian Louboutin, showcased the experience as a wonderful reset for the participants minds and senses. Listening to the group, it was clear how big the need is in our world today for hands on support and guidance, geared towards improving peoples wellbeing and health. I believe my program can facilitate just that.

The next retreat is already scheduled for later this year from the 23rd – 26th of November. Bookings can be made through the Vermelho Hotel directly. Outside of the retreats people can book me for one-to-one sessions, in person or on Zoom.

“The Brain Edit “ program comes in different packages and is specifically geared towards client’s needs. It is explained most basically as in-person therapy sessions, but with a specific program formula that has been very successful in giving clients control back over their lives. The current packages are as follows :

The Brain Edit –

  • Intensive (10 Sessions)
  • Condensed (5 Sessions)
  • Specific (3 Sessions)
  • Habit Removal (21 Sessions)

Review further information on what these program packages include here. People often ask me questions about my program so I decided to answer a few of the most frequently asked questions below.

1) What does “ The Brain Edit “ consist of?

It can be divided into 3 parts –
  • Mindfulness meditation
I would call this the foundation of my program. Learning to meditate and to ultimately become more mindful is the cornerstone for positive change.
  • The Triple 3 Techniques
A system I created over the last 10 years. Through years of meditation practice and hours of introspection a little formula started to form in my mind. Before I knew it, I designed 3 techniques that were helpful in my life and became fundamental to my teachings. For me, they make up the ‘walls of a house structure’ in my program, geared towards building a new version of you.
  • Mental health exercises and tools for intentional goal achievement
Some might call it manifestation techniques.
This represents the final part of helping people to create the lives they want. I teach NLP, visualisation and Clinical hypnotherapy techniques to empower people even more. Not only to be able to change in the present but also how to work for a better future. It is the ‘roof on top of the house’ of the new improved you. Within the 3 parts you are given tools and techniques that are powerfully life changing. As you move through these sections they all combine into a perfect pyramid that feels unified in its goal and outcome.

2) How did I come up with the program or create it?

I have been in the health and fitness industry for over 30 years. Starting off as a Personal trainer, then moving into Pilates and eventually qualifying as a Clinical Hypnotherapist. I have always believed that there is a real connection between the mind and the body. For true wellness, both the body and mind have to be taken care of.
Something I forgot for a few years myself and therefore suffered the consequences. I had 2 cardiac arrests in 2014 and had to find my way back to health. That is when I started delving into mindfulness meditation, fascinated by the science backing the practice. It took me by surprised how meditation eventually personally changed my life. I can truly say, meditation, instead of medication, saved me. My personal experience with mindfulness motivated me to bring it into my practice with my clients.
Gradually I started developing a program using everything I learnt as a professional Personal trainer, Clinical hypnotherapist and NLP Coach, to create something everyone could benefit from. Thanks to all the knowledge I had gained in the Wellness Industry over the years and my own personal experiences in life, I developed a program and decided to call it “The Brain Edit“.

3) Why call it “The Brain Edit“?

In the program we are working with a mind that is already beautifully fixed with a set of beliefs, values, patterns and habits. We don’t necessarily want to change everything about you. We want to take what you have and just make changes where necessary. Like editing an existing photo to just optimise how it looks, we are optimising your mind for your own benefit. The program name felt appropriate to me and for good measure I trademarked it.

4) Who is the program for?

I would say for most people. In my practice I have seen clients from the ages of 10 to 87 years old and often from very different backgrounds. The basis of the program is mindfulness meditation which uses the breath and the body as the focus point for practice.
As breathing is such a fundamental part of our lives, I am yet to find someone that can’t use the tools taught in the program. Also, most people benefit from more awareness and understanding of how their mind works. In the program I share science behind the working of the brain, but really keep it basic and clear. The techniques are also simple to learn and then to use. I would go as far as to say that my program is very “user friendly“, no matter who you are.

5) What are the benefits experienced when going through the program?

A few stand out ones are:
  • A better understanding of meditation.
  • Reduced stress and anxiety in general.
  • Increase in areas like awareness of self, immune function, memory and control of habits.
  • Improved mental health, cognitive function and even productivity.
  • Better sleeping and eating habits.
  • Reconnection with mind and body.

6) What is the difference between this program and so many others out there?

We are living in a time where we have access to so much information. The choices are multiple when people are looking for help and wanting to improve their mental health. I think it is great as people are all different, so the more choices there are, the bigger the chance someone would find what works for them.
My program is simple, precise and geared to offer clarity. In my own personal journey to improve my mental health I sometimes felt more confused than anything when delving into therapy and coaching. I also found it hard to implement what I had learnt once I was on my own. It was important to me to create a program that was easy for people to use, to implement and then eventually to practice as they went on with their lives. I hopefully succeeded in this by creating “The Brain Edit“.
My life has been colourful and some might say challenging. I am actually grateful for that. It set me on a path to become the person I turned out to be today, to become Terrence the Teacher. I am driven with the desire to help people and empower them. It includes those that are mentally or emotionally struggling, those that are searching for some answers and even those that just want to go to another level in their goal achievements in life.
I can honestly say that I understand suffering, pain, loneliness and even despair. I can also say I know success, achievement, joy and gratitude. There is a way through it all and eventually, above it all, that is what I would define as wellbeing. We can’t always change our lives but we can change how we experience and perceive it. That is where our power lies. Most of it is mental challenge that can be conquered, if you know how.
Within your mind are the answers to a better life. You might just need a bit of guidance or help . Find what works for you – maybe it is “The Brain Edit “program – you never know.
Many buildings form a city, so you don’t have to stand alone. Reach out, ask for help, share your truth, your fears and know that in the end it all will be o.k. I used to tell myself, just one more step, you don’t know what wonderful surprise is waiting for you around the corner.
Keep going and life might just surprise you.
